Chimney Technician

Chimney Technician (Apprentice)

Looking for a career outside the normal realm of construction? Being a chimney technician is that if not more. Learn to properly sweep, inspect, troubleshoot and repair solid fuel burning appliances such as; traditional masonry fireplaces, free standing stoves, wood burning inserts and much more. For those who love to "play with fire" you will have the opportunity to learn about the products of combustion and how this knowledge has revolutionized our industry providing us with some of the most efficient and safest forms of alternative energy on the market. There's endless opportunity to grow and learn with our business and in order to so, we hope to send all new members of our team to the CSIA (Chimney Safety Institute of America) located in Plainfield, Indiana. Here you will learn many vital skills needed to be a successful chimney technician!

Requirements:

​Must have high school diploma or equivalent and have a valid driver’s license. This may include having reliable transportation to and from job sites. Adherence to safety procedures/guidelines at all times is a must. Safety is our core value which requires you to wear safety protection such as hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective clothing, and when necessary respirator equipment. Applicants with experience in the field of construction is what we are seeking but not necessary for a candidate with a good personality and willingness to learn. Applicants should be physically fit and CANNOT be afraid of heights. Please consider this before applying. This position requires punctuality, consistent attendance and self-direction for the success of the operations.
